ABOUT MARIE-PAUL BAXIU:
Marie-Paul Baxiu, C.C.H., R.P. is a Reiki Practitioner, since 1995, utilizing energy work with her clients. She is also a Clinical Certified Hypnotherapist for the last 12 years. She graduated from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, the only nationally accredited school of hypnosis in the United States. She was born and raised in Paris, France and has been a resident of the USA for 18 years. She is a student of both old and new world teachings, and has developed powerful new techniques in childbirth hypnosis. Childbirth Hypnosis Training (CHT or hypnobirthing) is a technique for achieving a relaxing, and stress-free birth.
WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki (pronounced "Ray-Key") is an ancient and revered practice that promotes and accelerates healing and balancing of body, mind, and spirit through the laying-on of hands. Reiki is a Japanese word that translates as "UNIVERSAL LIFE ENERGY". A Reiki Practitioner has the ability to focus and direct this energy by simply placing their hands on the body of the person receiving treatment. Reiki is not a spiritual belief system and in no way contradicts any individual religious beliefs. It is, instead, a simple and gentle transfer of energy that accelerates the body's ability to heal physical and emotional ailments and opens the mind and spirit to the causes of disease and pain, the necessity for taking responsibility for one's life and the joys of balanced wellness. The energy offered through the Reiki initiate is universal energy, which fills their body with energy as it flows through their body and out their hands. Since personal energy is not used by Reiki Practitioners, and they receive energy as they give, they finish a treatment feeling energized and fulfilled.

THE EXPERIENCE OF REIKI:
A regular Reiki treatment is often experienced as gentle, relaxing and meditative. The receiver lies or sits in a comfortable position. There is no need to disrobe as this energy moves through clothing and even casts. The receiver needs only to relax and receive, often settling into a profound state of relaxation, peace, and well-being. People experience Reiki as gentleness, safety, and unconditional love. Many sense a feeling of heat from the practitioner's hands. Emotions are sometimes touched and released. Reiki is an intelligent energy that knows where to go in the body and just how much energy is required. The energy of Reiki is offered to support the highest good of the receiver and is accepted and used on that level.
